…Urges Bayelsans to look beyond sentiments and vote for SDD/LAW
Barely 27days to the governorship election in Bayelsa state, a youth leader who is currently the youngest Special Adviser to Governor Dickson on Youths Mobilization/DG of the DOUYE DIRI/LAWRENCE YOUTHS NETWORK, Comr. Ebilade Ekerefe, has challenged the All Progressive Congress and its candidate to openly articulate his policies and programs that will better the lots of Bayelsans if giving the chance, rather than hiding on the guise of imaginary philanthropy which doest exist any where.
In a statement made available to Bight News in Yenagoa, Comr. Ebilade Ekerefe said those pushing for APC to take over Bayelsa State are not doing so because they have development plan for the state. He said their intention is to win and then launch a government of vendetta at the detriment of Bayelsans.
In his words; “We’ve less than a month for the Nov 16th governorship election, while our party has flag off its campaign with our candidate selling his manifesto to the electorates, the APC and its candidate is yet to do so. We rather see a party who is only interested in altering the wheel of progress and development Gov. Dickson has started if they eventually takeover power.
“We see a party full of bitterness with vengeance in their thoughts and vendetta in their actions. We don’t see a party and a candidate ready to win a freely conducted and contested election.
“They know they don’t have the political structures at the grassroot level to win election and therefore are relying on Chf. Timipre Sylva, Minister of state, Petroleum to use his contacts at the presidency to rig elections for them as they did to Sen. Lokpobiri in their own party primaries. But that itself will have grave consequences” he said.
He reiterated his party PDP resolve for a free, fair and credible polls, calling on INEC and security agencies to be highly professional in the conduct of their duties.
He added that no political leader who has genuine intention to serve his people would wish them dead before getting to power irrespective of the political divide they belongs to.
He urged Bayelsans to vote massively for the candidate of the People Dmocratic Party, Sen. Douye Diri.
