Nigerian Police Broke My Head With Guns’ Butt In Delta

A Nigerian folk identified as Luis has demanded for the arrest of a police officer whose first name is given to be Nelson with the force number 444916, for inflicting pains and injuries on him in Delta State.

In a statement he issued via his facebook handle, the victim said “Nigerian Police brutality continued on Nigerians citizens just today again in Owhelogbo Junction, Ozoro, Isoko North, Delta state. They abused, brutalized and assaulted me using the butt of their rifles leading to my sustaining deep cuts in my head.

“I am presently admitted in Ozoro general Hospital.

“The Police team is led by one Nelson whose other name I cannot recall but with the force number 444916.”

According to him, the Mobile Police Personnel attached to AGIP before proceeding to the flow station in Isoko South carried out this unjustified abuse on him because he asked them to give access to vehicular movement that their own vehicles were obstructing.

“I have made a formal complaint to the Ozoro Division of police for investigation” and arrest, Luis said.

Reacting to the unlawful act, the president the Society For Social Media Development Initiative, Mr. Sunny Basikoro, condemned the actions of the Nigerian police in its entirety and called for the immediate arrest of the wanting officers to serve as a deterrent to others.

His words; “to us at Society For Social Media Development Initiative- a.k.a NASMPON & other Nigerians,we are sad on the attack on the life of this innocent Nigerian.

“In that vein, we do hereby call on the Delta State Commissioner of police & the D.P.O Ozoro division to wade into this matter & bring the wanting officers to book to avoid the breakdown of law & order in that area. Harmless Nigerians can’t afford seeing harmless citizens being killed unnecessarily by Nigeria Security agents who are supposed to guarantee their safety.”

Basikoro warned that, “A Stitch In Time Saves Nine”.
