Yenagoa – The immediate past commissioner of works and infrastructure in Bayelsa State and the candidate of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 16, 2019 elections, Mr. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo has called on the youths of Bayelsa West Senatorial District not to allow any blood thirsty politicians to give them guns to kill their fellows human beings in the coming elections. He stated this in a statement made available to newsmen in Yenagoa.
Mr. Lawrence called on youths to be law-abiding during the elections as the law would take its course on any youth found wanting. He added that they should be mindful of politicians who are only interested in using them to kill and rig elections at their detriment while their children and wards are in safe haven abroad.
His words: “let me use this medium to call on youths of Bayelsa West to stay away from crime and criminality. Do not let anyone arm you with guns to kill during the election. Allow their children abroad take up arms to kill if it’s profitable; their children can not be schooling abroad while you are in the creeks killing for them.”
He also advised the electorates in Sagbama and Ekeremor local government areas to vote wisely. Adding that no candidate is more credible and capable than himself, the standard flag bearer of the People Democratic Party (PDP), given his tenacity during his time as works commissioner in the state.
The immediate past commissioner in the state, said in his time as the commissioner for works and infrastructure he delivered on his assignments, adding that he will also deliver on his assignments at the Senate.
“I will ensure restructuring, employment of Bayelsans through the principle of Federal character, bridge building and accessibility, as well as youths and women empowerment” Lawrence said.
He asked the people of Bayelsa West to vote massively for him and other candidates of the People Democratic Party (PDP) to encourage the Dickson led administration that has brought infrastructural development to Bayelsa State, particularly the Bayelsa West senatorial district.
