…Leaders And Communities Receive Yuletide Presents In Bayelsa West Senatorial District.
As the people of Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State prepare to receive the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson in a grand style soon, Mr. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the immediate past Commissioner of works and infrastructure, the standard flag bearer of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Bayelsa West Senatorial District, has drove to Ekeremor town as a Test-Run on the Sagbama/ Ekeremor road what has just been pushed up to the headquarters of the Local Government Area, today Thurday 27th December 2018.
While on his way to Ekeremor, Mr. Lawrence made a stop at Agbere, Trofani and Sagbama communities respectively, where he reached out and present yuletide presents to leaders and traditional rulers. He also spent ample time with the people of Toru-Angiama community who coronated their Amanana-Owei, Hight Bruce Ogbo, in their community.
Among the leaders and traditional rulers Mr Lawrence visited were Chief Francis Doukpola, Mr. Maxwell Ebibai, the commissioner for finance Bayelsa State, HRH Masteri Ebikumoh John, The Amananaowei of Agbere Town HRH (Engr) Aserifa Hope Torru, The Ebeda-Owei Kingdom and High Chief Ojo Magbisa, the Amana-Owei of Sagbama Federated Communities. Mr. Aladeh Agwa while handing over the presents said the visit was not to campaign, but pay homage to leaders and traditional rulers.
Earlier before receiving royal blessings from HRH (Engr) Aserifa Hope Torru, The Ebeda-Owei of Kabowei Kingdom in his palace, Lawrence wished the people of Trofani and by extension Bayelsa West Senatorial District a prosperous new year in advance having enter into the Christmas. He said it’s imperative for him to out to leaders and people Bayelsa West Senatorial district given the reason for this season.
“My visit may have come late, but he who attended a function late might be urinating or defecating on his way” Lawrence said.
“We are not here for campaign yet. “We will return for the needful when the time comes” Lawrence added.
At Ekeremor town, men women, children; young and old expressed gratitude to God for making it possible for them to witness cars driving into their community, the headquarters of the Ekeremor local government area, Ekeremor for the first time in history. HRH King Agbodo Gbaseimor, the community helmsman showed how glad and fulfilled he was that in his time as the Amanana-owei that his jurisdiction became accessible by road, adding that him and his people, the natives of Ekeremor will reciprocate the Governor Dickson gesture and support him to consolidate on his achievements.
While commending Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo for remembering his throne and the people of Ekeremor community during the yuletide he assured him that the people of Ekeremor whose mandate he has to pilot the affairs of the community will work to ensure his landslide victory in the forthcoming Bayelsa West senatorial district election.
“We received your Christmas presents for the community. We now have road and you are personally here to pay me homage. You have done your part, it’s now our turn to reciprocate your gesture”, he resolved.
The Bayelsa West PDP Campaign Organisation had few days ago provided bags rice and materials for all the major communities in Sagbama and Ekeremor local government areas in the senatorial district, as a way of showing love and concern to the people in their various communities this yuletide. The gesture have today been appreciated by the people of Ekeremor town, when the incoming senator Mr Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo had a test Run Drive to their home town and headquarters.
