In a communique jointly signed at the end of the well attended Non-Elective Convention of EKELGA Federated Youth Council by the president and secretary of the EKELGA Federated Youth Council, Comr. Etolor Ebi Prince and Comr. Tam Bereh, and Comr. Kennedy Olorogun, Chairman of the Convention Planning Committee/ Communique Drafting Committee, the Ekeremor youths said their decision was informed by the developmental strides of the Governor Dickson led Restoration Government, which has brought road to communities in Ekeremor LGA, particularly the headquarters of the LGA.
The statement adds that, given the impact the People Democratic Party (PDP) Government has made in their areas and that most of the candidates, particularly Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo are instrumental to the successes recorded in the present state government, supporting and voting massively for the PDP candidates for all the elections is by extension appreciating Gov. Dickson to do more in terms of infrastructural development and other human capital development projects, which will further enhance the people standard of living in the state in general.
The statement reads in parts:
“The youths resolved to endorse all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and to actively and fully work for the party in the fourth coming general elections in 2019.”
Our “reasons which are numerous but to mention a few are the ongoing Sagbama- Ekeremor road, youth empowerment programmes and other people oriented projects in the LGA.”
That “the resolve is a measure of showing appreciation to the Countri Man Governor, His Excellency, Hon. Seriake Dickson for his developmental strides in the LGA.”
They have also resolved to shun violence and stand against vote buying in the coming elections in Ekeremor Local Government Area.
“The youths of Ekeremor LGA have unanimously resolved to ensure that guns and other dangerous weapons are not used to disrupt the fourth coming House of Assembly elections, National Assembly Elections and the Presidential Election” they resolved.
